Who’s hungry?!…

YHWH told His people not to eat swine, because it has a split hoof but does not chew the cud.

He told us not to eat it because He is YHWH and we are to be set apart to Him by the fact that we don’t eat what He said to avoid like the plague.

He didn’t tell us not to eat it because we could get sick. No. But He didn’t need to.

He only needed to tell us, His children to trust Him and obey.

Elsewhere though He tells us He will keep us from the diseases that afflicted the gentiles if we are willing to obey… But He didn’t specifically say that it was their diet making pagans sick…

Nowadays, we can know scientifically though that in fact, consumption of such things as swine is a cause of all manner of health problems and is a source of a variety of health risks.

YHWH shouldn’t need to tell us all the details. He is YHWH, and that should be enough for us when He tells us yes and when He tells us no.

He doesn’t change, and His commandments don’t change.

The only thing that does change is our knowledge of all that He has been trying to save us from and protect us against even unto this day…if only we are willing to trust and obey.
