Thought for Today: Shabbat July 19
If anyone wants or seriously desire to discover the secret of victorious-faith-in-Moshiach living; it is found in the process of surrender. There is no other “magical” formula. Then the question may rise: “How do I surrender my life”? There needs to be a complete yielding of every aspect of your life, personality, and will to Yeshua Moshiach. Make Him the Head, the Owner, the Alpha and Omega, the main Provider of your life, your family and your house. Yeshua said: “If anyone desires to follow Me, let them deny themselves, take up their cross daily and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). He also said: “If you love me, keep my Commandments” (John 14:15) Thus, Daily surrender – That is the key to daily Victory.

what am i surrendering/yielding/denying myself?
my rights.
specifically, my desire for judgement, sentencing and execution (enacted by myself or others) to secure me my right(s).
let's take a step back, think things through, and first look to Yeshua.
our rightful King.
He came, yet surrendered His rights, even though He made clear He could command angels if He so desired.
For He loves the Father, obeys Him, and surrendered His rights to the point of His death.
that obedience, His surrender, led to His resurrection.
that was His first, temporal, time with us, judgement delayed.
for were judgement to take place on His Kingdom then, the whole world would have received judgement to its detriment.
and, the Gospel having been proclaimed, it had not yet travelled around the world, reaching all.
so, i am to love Yeshua, and surrender my rights, doing so daily in following Him, what He did in His first time here.
for were judgement to take place now, it's a total package, which means that infringement of my rights by another gets judged, but so do all of my own infringements.
i'm afraid i would receive judgement to my detriment...
and for all that i obey His commandments, all of me is not doing so yet.
so in this first temporal time i'm here, judgement is better delayed.
let all of me deny myself in obedience, to the point that i am dead to me, so when judgement does come, i am not in infringement anymore.
(but it leads me to my resurrection to the real life.)
i suppose my comment is looking at this from a court perspective, and in a way this is showing a bit of the why of surrendering.
