this was really useful.
two things.
one, you have stirred my interest to go look at the aramaic.
it's that it hasn't received the scholarly attention that the greek has.
but, it being the lingua franca of the time, i can fully see original script having been written in it.
there is one issue, which has to do with if all the books of the NT are to be found in aramaic.
because, those 27 books hide in themselves a pattern which to me confirms their authenticity. i have spoken about this before, so unless asked i won't eloborate here.
two, what a confirmation of a part of what i've been on about, that Yeshua is YHWH manifested. very encouraging.
interestingly, i came to this conclusion using the greek...
looks like the greek writers had a problem with the I AM I AM, although i do notice they're consistently using ego eimi in these instances. it may be that that usage was somehow considered to mean the same thing, but later that meaning was warped by the church. doesn't matter to me.
my approach is based on trying to understand what's said, not specifically what is said, which may sound strange, but it makes sense to me, and it's from that that i come to my conclusions.
now i don't look too much at what others say or think, long ago i realised that there lies confusion.
(nobody should look too much at what i say or think either)
but the texts, they're what to listen to. so i didn't know there are people who also think this of Yeshua.
and now we come to the issue of oneness, which i will continue to try and find understanding of. actually, i don't have an issue with it, i need to find a means of explaining it so others don't...
thanks again mon.
