Declaration of Faith

Father has put certain undisputable rules in place in both nature and in His Torah. We can agree on the fact that not everyone always agrees on these laws, and that is totally acceptable as we are all still learning.

The rules and guidelines in this article was taken from quite a large number of Facebook groups and combined into a coherent list.  It was therefore developed over quite some time by a much larger group of group admins and combines their experiences, having to manage their own groups.

I though it prudent to post this list as an article so that we can further discuss and develop it. TTN is not meant to be driven by an individual as it is for the entire Torah community. I would like everyone's involvement on deciding what is reasonable and lawful for the platform.

(These rules and guidelines are also found in the Terms and Conditions.)

You hereby confirm that:

  1. You hold Scripture to be the Tanakh which is the entire Old Testament, which constitutes the Torah/Pentateuch, Navim/Prophets and Ketuvim/Writings as well as the Brit Chadashah which includes all [Canonized] books of the New Testament including the Epistles of the Apostle Paul.
  2. You keep the Torah of YHWH, and the faith of Yeshua as our Messiah.
  3. You love YHWH our God with your whole heart and have no other idles before Him.
  4. You love your neighbour as yourself.
  5. You strive to develop the Fruit of the Spirit and live it out in your daily walk and how you treat others.
  6. You agree that no one agrees 100% on what the Scripture teaches on a specific subject and that we are all still learning and that you want to learn and share with others; without causing strive, but in a true spirit of fellowship.

To make it practical:

Name of Our Creator and MessiahYou are free to use the name you think is the best, but please don’t ridicule those that use Jesus or any other name or pronunciation. We don’t want to distract anyone from the Torah issues and fellowship.
Be Kind and CourteousWe’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required and don’t tear down others and humiliate them.
We are well aware that discussions can get heated at times, but if it is not done in the wrong spirit it is not likely the Admin or moderator(s) will get involved, unless of course it becomes heretical or is sowing blatant discord among believers.
No anti-Torah post or commentsWe understand that learning Torah is new to many people and Yahweh is in control of the timing, this platform is for people who want to discuss Torah topics not argue against them.
Paul’s WritingsNo discussions about Paul being anti-Torah. If you believe this, you are welcome here, but please keep your comments about this topic to yourself. Refer to 2 Peter 3:15-17
Support claims with the evidenceWe are here to learn more about Torah and how to walk out this walk. When making a claim about your religion or beliefs, please use verses from the Tanakh/Old Testament with any New Testament verses to back up your claims and that will open discussion/debate. No promoting the idea/claim that only one ethnic group are “real” or “true” Jews. No Khazar mythology or ethnic supremacy claims, please. Jews, Christians and others are found among all ethnic groups.
No blasphemy or unnecessary crude languageKnow the difference between crass vulgarity and surgical necessity; and no crude or vulgar language.
All material must be Torah centeredNews, Science, Teachings, or any other secular subject must be connected to or viewed through the filter of Torah. Other religious materials such as Apocrypha, Talmud, Mishna, Zohar etc. are permitted, but only if it is accurately in line and backed up with Bible material.
Posts may not have an overtly “appearance” of sinA posts that assumes sin without showing the way to righteousness; or causes one to have a negative view of the Bible, YHWH, or our Messiah Yeshua.
Post in English in generalWe have many bilinguals so for general discussion please speaks English. Individual groups may however be created for any language.
Refrain from COVID19 fear mongeringNo liberty wavering, vaccine endorsements, social distancing, fake statics, fake news.
Only Biblical feasts, Sabbaths and holydaysNo secular or non biblical traditions are to be posted/supported.
Group Admin controlGroup Admins can make their own rules in addition to these rules to limit the group to specific locations, topics, languages, age groups or genders and they will have full control over the group discussions and can create and enforce new rules after the fact.

Please watch the following video as it well summarizes where we all are.

The comment of Linda Ingram on the video rings true:

“I have been asking what does loving my neighbor really look like and if I had to score myself on the Fruit of the Spirit from 0 to 10. 0 Being the least. How would I score, I have to admit my scores are extremely low !! So I have been paying very close attention to my thoughts and actions and repenting as fast as possible !! I am looking at myself and not others !! It is getting easier and easier to see my own faults and trying to love my neighbor as myself !!”

Father has put certain undisputable rules in place in both nature and in His Torah.  We can agree on the fact that not everyone always agrees on these laws, and that is totally acceptable as we are all still learning. I do however believe it prudent to put some guidelines together for TTN so that all of us know what is expected while talking with others.
