The iOS app has been in the making since July 2021, but numerous delays has been experienced due to the dependency on external developers. (You can read more about the progress on https://www.thetorahnetwork.com/forums/thread/13/) I have since July worked with four different developers and agreed a fee with them that I could afford, but each time when the work is underway then they increase the fee to a point where I cannot afford it personally and then need to look for new affordable developers.

If you don\'t know yet, the cost for the running and development of the TTN platform is funded predominantly by myself with some donations coming in every now and then. I therefore can only achieve what the very limited funds can cover and what I can do myself in my spare time.

To save development costs, I am now at a point where I have to look at doing the iOS development myself as most of the code is there and I only need to make some minor changes. I unfortunately don\'t have a Mac to do the development on as I have always worked on Windows devices.

I have asked on TTN if there is someone who has a Mac on offer, but I haven\'t received any replies. I therefore am asking for your assistance to purchase a Mac laptop that I can use for the development of the iOS app.

The cheapest second-hand Mac laptops that are up to spec are around £450 on eBay. The funds from this fundraiser will cover the cost for the laptop. Once that is done, then I will be in a position to afford the additional annual Apple Developer membership of $99 per year so that the app can be distributed via the Apple Store.

Your contribution to this fundraiser will greatly assist the rather large iOS user community who has asked for the app since the launch of TTN in June 2021.

UPDATE: 08/02 - I've gone ahead in faith and bought a 2017 Macbook for £525 as there just aren't any good ones for cheaper and I do not believe it is the time to be penny foolish. It is being setup and development will proceed within the next week.
