If Yeshua's sacrifice makes the Day of Atonement unnecessary, doesn't that assume that the Day of Atonement was trying to accomplish what Yeshua did?

Or is it possible that we don't really understand what the prophetic significance of this appointed time is.

Personally, I believe yom kippur is still necessary. We still need to take an audit of our life in the past year, remember as much as we can about what we said and did, or didnt say didnt do. Its a chance to forget the worries of the day, repent, and take joy in the miracle of Yah's grace. Yes, yom kippur was to point to the stake and the resurrection, but also to the promises of blessings and curses for obedience and disobedience, respectively. Its a time of renewal and completion at the same time. Out with the old man, in with the new, perfected in Messiah, you.

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares Adonai YHWH, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
Ezekiel 18:23

God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but He is true to His Word. Repent and be reborn.

Or don't, and be destroyed.

Abraham was the first Hebrew because he crossed over from idolatry to worship of Yahweh. After the faith went forth from Zion in the first century, people are invited to become as Abraham all over the world. We are invited to cross over from idolatry to worshiping the true God. Take the invite. #shabbatshalom
