Yeshua is the Word that created the heavens and earth, and he is the Word that continues to sustain everything that is.

In Colossians 1:15-20, Paul unequivocally states that #yeshua is the Creator and eternal, but he also says Yeshua is the image of God. Paul often made seemingly contradictory statements that require in depth knowledge of Torah and the Prophets to understand. The problem isn't Paul so much as it is our limited capacity to comprehend God and how he interacts with his creation.
