Sarah and Rebekah both defied their husbands on important family matters and God took their sides. That doesn't mean wives are always right, but it does mean husbands should listen to them. God's intended blueprint for families and government is patriarchal, but a godly patriarch is not an absolute monarch. He is a man under authority himself and exercises his own with love and respect.
