What would you do if, at age 50, just as your life is settling into something normal and comfortable, you get the opportunity to go to prison for something you didn’t do? Mark Randall tells us what he did. It may sound strange that he returned to prison with the attitude that he would willingly endure what our Heavenly Father had in store for him. Then again, that’s very much the attitude we read about in Paul’s letters, and in the lives of those entirely devoted to our King through the ages. In Mark’s case, he found something entirely unexpected in federal prison.
One of the things Mark discovered was how to live in community with God’s people in a hostile environment. His experience in Shelton Prison may have been an extreme example, but it highlights the lessons Barry Phillips and David Jones share about the Kingdom community our Messiah is building. Is a matter of loving God and loving others in a deeper way, as we hear in the music of Will Spires and Jimmie Black sing about it in this week’s music

So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, thar she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.

Psalm 9; 9 — 10, “ The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.” Who all seems hopeless and we feel completely helpless, the promise of refuge and comfort is there. Our Creator will offer us His spirit to ease our anxiety and fear. When we offer our praise and surrender our pride, the we repent and choose to live the way He designed us to live, He will comfort us, protect us and give us the strength to shine His light and be His representative in this world.
For our son with autism & ADHD we were advised to give him medication. I feel uncomfortable giving it at young age (8) but it would be great if there would be something that gives him rest and keeps him focussed. Does anyone here knows which foods or natural medicine could help, without side effects?
Thought for Today: Monday February 14:
Seek YHVH’s Face more and more. You are really just beginning your journey of intimacy with Him. It is not an easy road, but it is a delightful and privilege way: a treasure hunt. He is the Treasure, and the Glory of His Presence glistens and shimmers along the way. Hardships are part of the journey too. He measures them out so carefully, in just a right dosage, with a tenderness you can hardly imagine. Do not recoil from afflictions, since they are among His most favourite Gifts. Trust Him and do not be afraid, for He is your Strength and Song.
I have been following my old homeschooling friend's online Mom life hacks and Christian living stuff for years.( Although I never listen to podcasts or watch videos.) I am so excited that she and her husband started keeping Sabbath!
