Thought for today: Shabbat July 24:

Fanaticism may roughly be described as the rage of people who have no opinion of their own.

"Some of the Pharisees said; 'This Man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath." (Jn. 9:16)

Beloved Master, Your love for me and my love for You rescues me from blind Fanaticism. For this I praise and exalt Your Holy Name, amein

Fun fact: It's not disrespectful to not capitalize the personal pronouns of the Most High.

I'm a stickler for proper grammar, therefore I tend to avoid Bible translations that do capitalize the personal pronouns of the Most High.

I agree with you, but I also think it's not a problem to capitalise them. Not enough to avoid those translations. For example Mark 7:19 is exactly as it should be in the NKJV, (by my understanding) but it's one of the translations you said that you'd avoid. Thoughts?

May I join in? I'm not in the UK but have family connections in Scotland. I am very encouraged to see this group and look forward to learning more about the spiritual environment, struggles and victories in the great UK.

Shabbat shalom! Sabbath always feels so much nicer on those weeks where we've worked especially hard. Enjoy your full 24 hours of rest and refreshing! Put your feet up! Connect with loved ones and your family in Messiah. Love you all!
