Disappointment.
This seems to be all about paying money. I may not be seeing everything, but so far, I'm not allowed to update my profile or upload another photo until I upgrade my profile (what does that mean?) and I can't edit my profile without disclosing my location.
Very intrusive, very buggy.
I'm probably not spending a LOT of time here unless someone explains that it's not bad and here are the user friendly controls, lol.

It appears your correct i tied to upload a photo and nothing happened. think i have to pay to do very much. Will see how it goes, trying to keep an open mind.

Have you tried accessing the site on your computer? People are really only having trouble with that if you're on the app.

Dev G Ken Hartford You must be able to change your profile settings (without giving a location), profile photo and banner image. Please let me know if you have issues with that and whether you are using the Android app or the web site.

In regards to why some services are available for a very small fee, please do read the article I have posted on https://www.thetorahnetwork.com/forums/thread/31/.

I am doing this to try and bring the Torah community together and only ask for a very small contribution and only for services like uploading content and making video/voice calls which costs £2,50 per month. (You can still link to external content for free as many people on TTN do.)


The Android app was a first release and there are some known issues with it. I am actually contemplating pulling the Android app and delaying the iOS app untill it is futher developed and only have the web site (which is fully responsive for mobile app use) available in the meantime, but I will be taking a poll from the users of the app this week to hear whether it is worth keeping the app at this point in time.

They have to charge, because they don't do what FB does and invade your privacy to push ads in your face by companies that pay FB to do it. So, us supporting our own platform is a great thing! Plus the monthly fee for the silver option is less than $3/mo ...I'd say that's totally worth not having my info constantly spied on.

From what i understand this site/app is fairly new and I think it deserves some patience and perseverance. I think it's a good way to connect with other Torah believers. It won't be on the same level as we are used to on fb, as far as smoothness. But I think it deserves the (financial) support from those who are able. The worth will mostly be in the sharing and fellowshipping I think, nothing can top Holy Spirit inspired input. For that i gladly give up smoothness and spying on every move i make l, lol ? Hope you'll stick around sister ? shalom!
