Psalm 31; 14. “I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” In this simple and yet all encompassing statement, David excludes every one and everything for his trust except his Creator. He uses the name יהוה as he proclaims “I trust You יהוה You are my God.” Nothing else compares or is worthy. No one else can come close. The use of the 4 Hebrew letters that are the name of the Creator are important to understand in this statement because David is careful not to be ambiguous, he is proclaiming exactly the one in whom he is placing his trust. David would make many mistakes and suffer the consequences but he never wavered in this single most important choice, he understood who his Creator is.
