Thanks for the add, Kelly. We have owned our home in Michigan about one year, and my husband spent the last year developing our compost and land. He’s almost done with a small greenhouse, and we bought heirloom seeds earlier this winter, so we are eager to get started. (Last frost is the end of May.) We live on 1/3 acre on the edge of town. Our backyard feels like country, but we can’t have animals. Thankfully we have friends we can get eggs from inexpensively, and a local farm where we can get raw milk. We have a good store of grain and like making our own bread. Otherwise, we are just a bunch of computer nerds and writers who are trying to learn to homestead. ??
