Psalm 6;2, “Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am frail; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are in agony.” David had a definite feeling of depression, even his bones ached with the burden he was holding. In this Psalm, it reads almost as if David had a physical ailment, however he is often described as someone who was tall and almost considered perfect. Physically David was stable but his emotions often get confused. David wanted to please the Creator but often he acted on his own without divine counsel. Those are the times when he writes passages like this one with a feeling of regret so deep he is able to feel it in his bones.
