One of the problems I am developing with the English translations of the Bible is they all want to guide us toward a certain agenda and not all of them guide us to the Creator’s ideas for what we need to be doing or thinking… One example is the book of Exodus, in the Hebrew Bible this book is not titled Exodus, the title is Names. English readers have come to understand that this book is about the exodus from Egypt and that lesson is extremely important but is may not be about leaving Egypt. Consider changing the viewpoint from leaving a place of depression and servitude and instead think of it as being guided by our Creator to a place where we learn to love the way He designed us to live. The lesson remains the same however our way of thinking changes from escaping something bad to going somewhere wonderful. And that is what getting to know our Creator is, being led to a better place.
