Over the last several years, my community has made it a special mission to send delegates to Jerusalem for Sukkot to honor the Mitzvah and to be present before the Almighty for the sake of there being rain on our land.
For the last couple of years, due to the situation of the world, we have been unable to do so. All over the world, and, most especially important to me, here in the SouthWest USA, we are seeing a terrible drought.
My brethren, please let us obey His Word and send people to Jerusalem for Sukkot for the sake of rain for the nations, to do our part to turn away the horrific consequences of severe drought and famine. Let us againstand in our priestly role before the Almighty for these people and present ourselves before Him to appeal for His favor and rains upon our lands.
