I had a non Torah observant person tell me that the Bible says we are not supposed to travel so many meters/miles to go to church. So those of us that are traveling out of town for congregation are going against God. I have never heard of this before. Can someone explain this?

Also, the only mention would be in the old testament with Nehemiah who said not to go out of the city during the Sabbath to prevent the people from doing business outside the walls, and in the new testament, it talks about a Sabbath's day journey. This is still a practice today with the orthodox Jews who all go within a 2 mile radius from the synagogue. It is an inflation by the rabbi's of what Nehemiah said. It was only mentioned in the new testament as it was a standard unit to measure distance.

I got told this also with above scripture. but why would yah tell us not to give up meeting with each other if he was going to limit how far we can travel ?? do what you feel yah show you ?
