Psalm 30; 4 - 5 “Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”To remember and to mention are the same word, David implies that when we even mention the Creator we are to give thanks. A bad time may only lasts for a short while but there will always be a time of joy. David knew how much trouble poor choices can bring and he also knew that with the help from the Creator we are able to turn what we see as trouble into something that glorifies the Creator. Even during the tough times we praise our Creator for everything at the mention of His name.
