If male headship is limited to the home, then Messiah's headship is limited to the body of believers. (Is this what you really want? Be careful what you wish for.) However, if Messiah's headship extends beyond the body of believers and covers all things, then male headship also extends beyond the home into all societal structures.

I'm going to jump in here and say that I believe that your premise and wording are misleading. A man who has a wife and family is the head of his family. Another man can not come to my home, or my family and speak and make decisions for my family except my husband. Messiah is the head of His family, the body of believers/ Israel. The unbelieving world does not recognize Him as their head/Messiah/King. The unbelieving world is not a part of His family. I think that your reasoning is false and misleading.
