Beware of people who do things in secret or on the sly. Honest people don't join secret societies or engage in manipulative politics and reporting.

Beware of people who see conspiracies everywhere, who treasure secret and special knowledge. They are either driven by fear or by a desire to become the controlling power.

Beware of people who love to pick fights and stir up controversy. They often believe they're doing people a favor by playing "devil's advocate", when they're really just the Devil's activist.
