I have a question and I am new to Torah, so please be kind. My husband and I are part of our local Farmer's Market. I don't have a lot of products to sell but they are held on Saturdays. Where I live a lot of the stores are closed on Sundays. Is it wrong or against God's law if I observe Sunday for Shabbat? I am really confused on this.

This was one of the first things that I had to learn and which is what took me down the rabbit hole and brought me to Torah, having worked 7 days a week. I don't know whether you have seen the 119 Ministries video on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP2fw1Y3QVo which articulates it very well. My very brief view is, the Sabbath was made for rest and no servile work to be done. This makes it very difficult when you are in a community that only operates on Sunday-laws, but it is Father's law that we should not work. I have found that we had to work out our shopping schedule differently to do it during the other 6 days. I also had to find other channels to sell through, but Father always provided. It might seem "hyper-spiritual" to say that Father will provide, but this platform is an example of His provision. I will give a testimony once we hit 1,000 members and then you should understand why I can say this. PS. If you find someone who is not gentle then please tell me.

Hi Sandra. As others have said this has been an area that a lot of us have had to make sacrifices in order to observe. For me, I had a sideline wedding photography business and most of our jobs were on Sabbath, so I had to tell my business partner I was pulling out. At this point though my first thought was I would rather please my Father in heaven than please man. Shabbat is a day that is close to the Father's heart. He has kept it as a day of rest himself since the first week of creation, and he wants us to join him in it with the rest of humanity and the angels. Our Messiah is the lord of the Shabbat and kept it himself, so we should follow his example. I hope that's an encouragement to you. Bless you. :-)
