Genesis 46:7

Jacob had daughters besides Dinah when he went to Egypt to be with Joseph. Why are they still living wtih him? Were they still unmarried or did their husbands go also, forming the beginning of the mixed multitude that would join Israel in the Exodus later?

Jacob's sons had slaves and concubines from the raid at Shechem, but they weren't included in the count of people entering Egypt either. I talk about some of what that means in this video series, "Who Is Israel?".
