Shalom Ladies!
With the season of Counting of the Omer, House of Sarah wants to invite you to join us in preparing for Shavu'ot. We do this by a process called Sefirot HaOmer, or simply "The Count".
During this seven week period, using a dedicated devotional that's suitable for introspective purposes, we'll be looking at our souls, and asking the Holy Spirit to illumine those areas which need change.
There are 7 attributes divided by weeks, each of these attributes between Passover and Shavu'ot will be dedicated to examining and refining them.
The seven weeks further divide into seven days which make up the counting. A daily meditation/devotional will be attached to each day.
For our new sisters who are just beginning your Torah journey, I want to share a very good article on our ancient custom of the counting of the Omer which is found in Leviticus 23:15, 16. Our congregation usually follows the Hillel II calendar, but part with it twice: the counting of the Omer (Torah states the count begins the day after the weekly Sabbath which is First Fruits. Also Shavu’ot, Tradition counts Shavuot on the 6th of Sivan which falls on any day of the week. Yet when we count according to Leviticus 23:15, the 50th day - Shavu’ot always falls on First Day (Sunday).
We’re several days behind on this platform so I’ll be posting several days to catch up.? https://www.minimannamoments.c....om/counting-our-bles
