I believe that maturity is measured by how quickly you ask forgiveness; whether it be your spouse, your children, friends or Father. The faster you ask forgiveness the more mature you are in your relationship with that person as you do not try to fight for your "right" to be right.
So, for me being a saint doesn't mean being 100% correct or obedient all the time. You can get things wrong and still be a saint, but then ask forgiveness as soon as you see your error.
