When a woman marries, authority over her transfers from her father to her husband. Under ideal conditions, a woman is never without a spiritual authority over her except in orphanage or widowhood. But Torah doesn't directly address every possible circumstance and we haven't lived under ideal conditions since the Garden.

For example, Torah says a man may cancel the vows of an unmarried daughter living in his house, but what about an unmarried daughter who is NOT still living in his house?
