So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent.

The disciples' primary message in their first evangelical crusade wasn't "God is love" or "Jesus saves", although I'm sure that was part of it. Their primary message was "Repent from breaking God's commandments".

If you aren't teaching repentance and obedience, then you aren't teaching the whole Gospel.

Warning: horror story! I know a pastor of a small country church. Hes a hard worker. He hangs laundry machines on an assembly line all day, then goes out to the farm to do chores. Hes always ministering. Wonderful people person. We were in his car backing out of his driveway one day. He said something about the new testament, i dont remember what. I said, "thats a lie." Know what he said? "As long as people get saved it doesnt matter. I said yes it does cuz theyre not saved if its based on a lie. The subject ended there, and so did my respect for him. He lives just over the hill, and we almost never speak anymore. Hes still preaching to a small church that cares more about the weekly gossip being heard during church than his 5 minute, high speed sermon. Gotta get out by noon or the world will end! 30 minutes are spent on "prayer requests" which is the trigger for the gossip.
