Does being religious make someone righteous? No it doesn’t, being religious simply means you believe in a particular religion. Atheists for instance are certainly not righteous but they do believe in and practice the religion of non belief in a Creator God. Many people practice the religion of a denomination and have been taught by doing so they are righteous but the reality is they are following rules made by mankind and those rules are not always consistent with the Creator’s instructions.

Atheists and scientists just don't want to accept that they too believe in some higher power/being.
I have been told by people who have seen war first hand that there are no atheists in the trenches during a war. I wonder how many people will suddenly give up their own false beliefs and start looking for the one true God when they know their lives are up?
