The belief that the Old Covenant was works based is an error. Israel was saved despite their unrighteousness, just as we are today. Israel was saved in their unrighteousness for a purpose, to cleans Canaan from the idolators. We are also saved for a purpose, to spread the Gospel of #yeshua and the coming Kingdom of #yahweh. “Do not say in your heart when YHVH your God has driven them away from you, ‘Because of my righteousness YVHV has brought me in to take possession of this land.’ Rather, it is because of the wickedness of these nations that YHVH is dispossessing them before you. It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you are going in to take possession of their land, but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that YHVH your God is driving them out from before you, and in order to confirm the oath which YHVH swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
