Something just dawned on me. The first Passover happened in the month the barley was abib in Egypt, not Isrsel. The 40 years in the wilderness: what barley did they judge? In the Babylonian exile, did they go by Babyloms barley? Why do those of us not in Israel today try to go by Israels barley? If we didnt have technology, we would find out too late that the barley was abib. It grows much slower here in Iowa because of our harsh winters than it does in Israel. How do we know when to plant it?

As far as I remember, the later instruction was to look at Jerusalem, bearing in mind it wasn't a "place" yet while they were in the wilderness. I'll have to look at which verse it is.
BUT, what about when they were in the wilderness??? ?
