Compare Herod's contempt for Yeshua to Joram's grudging respect for Elisha in 2 Kings 8. Both kings were evil men who simultaneously hated and were fascinated by God's anointed. Despite Joram's thorough wickedness, he didn't dare to touch Elisha and even tried to bribe him by giving gifts to his friends. Herod, on the other hand, mocked and mistreated Yeshua and later died horribly.
