Both Kosher and halal organizations refuse to declare "Impossible Pork" as kosher or halal, even if there is no actual unclean ingredients in it just because of the word "pork". It is one of those vegetarian meat substitutes.

Jewish and Muslim leaders say that, although a new plant-based product that looks and tastes like ground pork isn't really meat, it isn't really kosher or halal, either.

I can understand their concerns. The Kosher/halal organizations do not want to risk causing confusion by certifying something with the word "pork" in it. It's one of those cases of avoiding the appearance of evil.

They are corrupt like everything else.
Sooner or later, whether good or evil, more shall be approved.

That is why I avoid eating beef hotdogs or turkey bacon. While they are not inherently wrong I think, they are certainly an appearance of evil.
