Prayer -- Day 14
Receiving Elohiym’s Blessings
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. (Matthew 7:7)
One reason we may not get answers to our prayers is that we ask, but do not really expect to receive. We are expert askers, but un-practiced receivers. This verse tells us to ask and then immediately conceive of ourselves as receiving. For example, to be free from fear, ask Lord to free you. Then believe that He has immediately done so. The minute you express your faith by sincerely asking Him for a blessing and believe your prayer is answered, your prayer is answered.

BUT when it is something larger then, in my view, the size of the thing I am trusting for determines whether I will receive it or not. It is almost like I am not fully trusting that Father will want it for me.
Father is not my personal genie and everyhing down to my last heart beat is up to Him. So how can I know that I am "trusting" for something within His will and will therefore receive it?
I am always reminded of Hezekiah who asked for healing which wasn't in Fathers perfect will, but Father still gave it to him and then his son was a ruin for the nation...
