Many believers are divided today by doctrine and tradition, however the subject that causes the greatest divide is that of searching for the original meaning and context of the Bible. When a believer begins to question a denominational doctrine or tradition they often find themselves persecuted by their friends and family. Psalms 86:11, “Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” All of Psalm 86 is David’s prayer for guidance as he searched for meaning and understanding as he was being persecuted for following his Creator.

We should rather be looking at what we have in common and thank Father that He is gracious enough to draw us closer to Him and that we are all still learning.
