The Hebrew word shua means to bow or be brought low. If you add y-a-h to the front of that, you're literally saying "Yahweh is brought low"

The hebrew word hovah means "disaster" or "brought to a ruin". IF you had y-a-h to that to get yahovah, you're literally saing "Yahweh is brought to ruin."

YHVH means "the eternal One" or "I exist". When we play with the Names, we need to be very careful. The root of YHVH is havah which is a verb meaning "to become". His Name is a play on Exodus 3:14 whereh YHVH tells Moses His name is "I will be what I will be" or hayah asher hayah.

A lot of people do not understand Hebrew grammar. He remains all have meaning and when you use a word that has no meaning, basically a nonsense word, well that's not real good. There is one commonly used name for God that literally means He came to be. How can you call the one who always was by a name that basically means He came to be? Yoseph Viel building excellent paper on this topic.

Actual name Yeshua is based on the Hebrew word for salvation and is actually like a shortened nickname for Yehoshua or Joshua.

I read your article and I'm almost done with the first video. I really like the way you explain the idea of taking the name in vain. Totally agree with that. So many people do not understand that the word shem doesn't just merely mean a designator. It has meaning always. But that other aspect is also hugely missed, that of the character and reputation of the person.

I like your analogy of the foreign dignitary. So much seems to go to motivation of the heart. Are we more focused on pleasing him in our actions and our heart then we are in trying to nail down the pronunciation of the name?

I did a search for that passage in Josephus, but nothing comes up regarding the Name that I can find.

if you notice, I put a ' in front of the Y. The ee sound gets glossed over, like many words in spoken language. Say the phonetic Name fast and repeat it faster. You will get tongue tied if you keep the full ee sound in there eventually. The remaining letters have no change in sound, so I dont understand what the confusion is.

Notice it says it consists of four vowels. We know from Exodus the Name is four letters, Yod Hey Waw Hey. These are consonantal vowels, meaning they have a vowel pronunciation in addition to the hard consonantal pronunciation. The phonetic spelling i previously showed you is the vowel pronunciation of these letters.

the Hebrew letter Hey is kinda used as a vowel because just about any time it appears at the end of a word it makes an “ah” sound. Although also used as a consonant. Such as in the word “hashem”. The vav also doubles as a vowel from time to time.

But there’s actually more evidence for this particular pronunciation than just Josephus. I myself never read about what Josephus said before coming to this conclusion about the pronunciation.

I simply looked at how the first three letters of Gods name was pronounced in other words like “YeshaYahu” (Isaiah- Yah saves) and it was easy to figure out the ending vowel after that.

Many many prophets have Gods name within their own and it is always pronounced “Yahu”.

There is actually evidence that he used several different pronunciations depending upon the need at the time. 🤷‍♀️ I do know there are many ways to mix vowels in
, some of which result in words that are nonsense, not really words. There are some that do have meanings that are positive and some have meanings that are negative.

I just consulted someone who speaks Hebrew and the "shua" you are thinking of is spelled with an Chet at the end and not an Ayin like in the Name Yeshua. I think you're referring to one of Abraham's sons right? It's strongs number H7744. Not spelled the same at all as the ending of Yeshua's name.

A quick search also revealed that their was a name in Scripture called "shua" that meant wealth.
