On that day YHWH exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they stood in awe of him just as they had stood in awe of Moses, all the days of his life.

Don't seek out glory for yourself, but if God puts you into a position of leadership, you might need to accept a certain amount of personal glory for the sake of your mission. People need visible leaders they can look up to and follow.
