#exodus 36:14-16 says Moses made 11 goathair curtains for the second layer of the #tabernacle. Why 11? It's a prime number, one more than 10 (divine imposition) and one less than 12 (Israel). That last one is probably the most significant. The number eleven seems to point to the whole nation of Israel, but with one of the tribes missing due to sin or betrayal. These curtains, like the ten curtains in v8-13, were fastened with 50 clasps, bronze instead of gold, perhaps to represent the judgment that removed one of the tribes.

What is the connection of the curtains, clasps, and numbers to Israel? It has something to do with the unity and protection of the people.
