Leviticus 13:47-59 describes "leprosy" in a garment. Clearly it's not talking about Hansen's Disease, and the description doesn't match any kind of mold that I know of. What do you think this passage is really trying to say?
Consider that garments in Scripture often represent bearing or submission to authority.

For instance, I went into the loft yesterday and found an old leather dog collar that my son kept as a memento of his dog we had to give away when we left South Africa.
It was covered in mould so my daughter washed it in vinegar and hung it in the son to dry. We'll keep an eye on it now to see if the mould grows back.
