Before Abram became known as Abraham, we read this. Genesis 15:6, “Abram believed the Lord. And the Lord accepted Abram’s faith, and that faith made him right with God.” As Abraham continued to be obedient his faith strengthened, he had an incredible understanding of what it is to trust our Creator completely.

This begs the question: what exactly, according to scriptural definition in its entire context, is “righteousness” (tzedakah - צְדָקָֽה)?
If we wish to be like Avram in his faith and belief, we should know this, not guess at it or take our definition from English dictionaries or the teachers of some other religions. Let’s learn.
