Thinking on the book of the law:
Exodus 20-23 is the book of the covenant. The two sets of stone tablets came AFTER the book of the covenant, which includes the "ten" commandments. It appears the stone tablets were the plans for the tabernacle, priestly garments and so forth. The tent of meeting was before and during the tabernacle, but something seperate, for just Moses & Joshua to enter. All the commandments given after exodus 23 are strictly for YHWH to be able to abide with the israelites. So, since YHWH does not abide among the israelites any longer (no pillar/cloud/fire), do the cleanliness laws, sacrificial laws, priestly positions and everything between exodus 23 & joshua 1 still pertain? The way im understanding it today as i read through exodus, maybe not? Open for discussion!
