I've written gospel music over the years since I was young but never did anything with it online. I was considering getting a copyright on it but in today's world copyright laws have changed and simply publishing it means it is protected by copyright. So I am considering recording it and publishing it on my video sharing site. What are your thoughts on this? Should I get a government copyright or am I safe to simply publish it as it is?

Also, the entertainment industries are so protective of their rights that I am sure there will be a law that protects you in most of the world.
Just remember that not all countries care for copyright, so you wouldn't be able to protect it everywhere.
It would be great if you would load it to TTN Music once you have recorded it.
