Where does Zechariah 12-14 fit in with Revelation?

I have been trying to figure out where the #prophecy in Zechariah fits in as Jerusalem is still the "old" version (not the about 1,400 miles square version) as far as I can tell and yet Yeshua reigns from there.

There are no prophets in the land as any prophets would be considered to be false and then killed.

The separate tribes are distinguishable and gentiles aren't included as 12:12-14 says: "The land will mourn, every family by itself; the family of the house of David by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, each by itself, and their wives by themselves."

All nations have to go to Jerusalem on the feasts to show themselves or they won't get rain on their land. So there are still separate nations.

What is your understanding of this prophecy?

a very complex prophecy, but i can make a comment that maybe can get someone else to make a new connection.
what i do notice is the specific mention of david, nathan, levi and shimei. now nathan is a problem, as there's no background info i can find about him, but, for what it's worth...
going to revelation chapter 7, the sealing of the 144000 servants of our God, it's a (new) grouping of 4 sets of three tribes. my understanding of that connected with with the 12 gates of the new Jerusalem, (rev 21:12-13)in the same order, would place judah and co's names on the east gates, david being of the tribe of judah, manasseh and co's names on the north gates, here i can only assume nathan is connected with the tribe of manasseh, rather than asher or naphtali (see note), but then we get back on track, levi and co's names on the south gates, and benjamin and co's names on the west gates, shimei being of the tribe of benjamin.
note - judah, manasseh(as son of joseph), levi and benjamin are respectively from leah,rachel,leah,rachel. true wives.
like i said, i'm just throwing this thought in in the hope it may inspire someone else.
anybody know if nathan is somehow connected to a place in the territory of manasseh? Biblically?(or asher or naphtali, for that matter, although that would ruin my comment)

Brother Rhy, your questions keep all of us on our toes. Rather than attempt a long winded response, I will just mention a couple things I like to keep in mind for all prophecy. The book of Revelation is not chronological and many events are repeated. There is no marriage in the resurrection, which makes perfect sense if we think about it. Ezek and Rev refer to a millennial temple, but nowhere are we told about a third temple before Messiah. Yeshua will sit on David’s throne. David did not rule the world. He ruled Israel. I personally find it helpful to understand prophecy through the lens of these, and other, concepts. (but I could be wrong).

Just some questions that might help the process of thinking through the prophecies.
Does that verse use the word temple? Is it possible to have an altar without a temple? Has there ever been an altar without a temple? What about the rebuilding after exile? Does the daily sacrifice require a temple or just an altar?

Just thought about the seperate kingdoms and Davids kingdom thing.
I think I heard in a podcast recently, David (and Solomon) did "rule" a larger area, incuding further up North I think from memory of the podcast. However the very Northern area was under tribute.

Also Babylon/Media Persia used Satraps.
