If the inbox of your email is like mine this morning, it is probably filled with black Friday sale advertisements. As I was deleting them I thought of this verse — 2 Peter 2:3, :Those false teachers only want your money. So they will use you by telling you what is not true. But God has already judged them guilty. And they will not escape the One who will destroy them.” Just as many companies want to fill your home with gadgets which you most likely don’t need, so do false teachers and false prophets fill your mind with useless legends and empty traditions that lead you onto the path of destruction.
