I am continuing to explore whether or not we are required to take all 8 days off to go camping for the Feast of Tabernacles? My friend sent me the short video below from Unlearn The Lies to show his point of view that it is a requirement.
I'm not yet sure becasue Scripture says somewhere that males should go to Jeruslem to keep certain feasts, but that isn't practical in the dispora. Still exploring.

I would appreciate some input.

I've taken a look at the verses mentioned in the video. It looks like we are required to dwell in tents or booths. But I don't see a requirement to go on vacation or go somewhere to keep it. One can build a sukkah in their back yard and fulfill the commandment that way. I do grant that it is more enjoyable to go camping or vacation for it though.

I have always dwelled in booths in my back yard and observed the days that we are not supposed to work. Never gone on holiday for this, although there were times that my premises was full of booths and tents with friends and family (up to 40 people) that observed the festival with me. If you consider a holiday, look for a camping ground and encourage others to join you in the feast.

BUT do remember, the main object of it is to deepen your relationship with YHVH.

As I said earlier, I am questioning about following this group any further. It is not disagreements that bother me. It is when the leader of the group discourages me from questioning and wants blind obedience. This is the mark of a cult. Anyone who is part of that kind of fellowship should avoid it or leave once discovered.
