Thought for Today: Wednesday February 26

The Jewish nation was on the brink of an invasion that soon would destroy it and send most of its inhabitants into exile. And yet, only a few wanted to hear what Ezekiel had to say, for his message warned of YHVH’s impending judgment. Instead, most wanted to listen to prophets who declared soothing words, telling them that Ezekiel was wrong and soon the nation would experience peace. A multitude of “respectable” elders promised the same thing. Some may have value, but most were like false prophets and charm merchants. In today’s life, as in Ezekiel’s day, there are still many misleading the masses. Do not be misled, and do not be deceived! Instead, build your life on the truth YHVH gave us in His Word.
