Some *possible* symbolism in the materials of the Tabernacle:
Gold and white linen = purity/righteousness
Silver = blood/atonement/redemption
Bronze = judgment/repentance
Wood = Living flesh, aka man
The Cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant are two witnesses and probably represent the Cherubim in God's throne room.
Rav Tachuma said the acacia trees for the wood were planted in Egypt by Jacob and harvested by Moses at the Exodus. Probably not literally true, but consider that Israel is also a Tabernacle planted by Jacob and harvested by Moses at the Exodus.

dunno if you want this but lemme comment.
biggest is gold is subordinate to silver, i'm talking about in its working. everything in its time. i'm not disagreeing, i'm commenting.
gold is inert, as far as its effect on us, it does no harm.
silver, however, has a 'side-effect', it is inert, but also anti bacterial.
it has a positive effect on us.
the water i consume passes by a little coil of fine silver, an important point if you're going to make use of that, it only works with fine silver, (99.9% pure, they can't get better than that)
if one looks at 'white' linen from a distance, could we not be talking about silver clothing?
and then, purification having been achieved, we now talk about gold.
and then we don't need sunglasses.
