I was in a building last night and the fire alarm was activated. The sound was deafening and after evacuation, we were told that one of the construction workers took the dust cover off a smoke detector, allowing dust and dirt to enter, activating the alarm. My mind immediately thought of how many believers are like that smoke detector. Many let their guard down, allowing worldly dust and dirt to enter, setting off alarm bells. We cannot allow our guard down in a world that is fallen. Be aware, even in times of difficulty, not to be distracted. Keep safe through prayer, Scripture and worship. Shabbat Shalom.
