Speak to the people of Israel, saying, You shall eat no fat, of ox or sheep or goat.
#leviticus 7:23

Occasionally, skeptics like to pick this verse to show how ridiculous the Bible is. How can anyone eat meat without eating fat? Are you supposed to trim every bit of fat from every cut of meat? What could possibly be immoral about eating a well-marbled steak?

The objection is silly. Do they really think that people back then were so stupid they couldn't think of that? I guarantee that the average Hebrew of 1500 BC knew a heck of a lot more about butchering a cow than almost every atheist on the planet today.

Go Ahead and Chew that Fat - American Torah

Leviticus 7:23 forbids eating fat, but does it mean all fat from any animal? What does it really mean?
