In John 8, either the Pharisees didn't have 2 qualified witnesses or the charges were false. If she was caught in the act, where was the man? They must be stoned together according to Torah.

Even in the #sotah there are 2 witnesses for/against the woman: In the Tabernacle there was the Ark/Father, Menorah/Spirit, and Table/Son. The accused woman was judged before Ark with the Menorah and Table as witnesses. If Yeshua, the Son, refused to condemn, then there were no longer 2 witnesses and the woman must be declared innocent.

Without a priest or the woman's husband present for the trial, Yeshua was forbidden by Torah to condemn her even if she was guilty. By condemning the woman without witnesses or due process, all of her accusers were committing a sin.

When #yeshua said, "He who is without sin cast the 1st stone," he wasn't talking about any sin whatsoever. That would make all of God's commandments into nonsense. No, he called their bluff. They knew they couldn't convict the woman honestly and so they made themselves false witnesses, condemned to the same punishment that they meant for her.
