COURAGE, DISCOURAGE AND ENCOURAGE
NEW TESTAMENT VERSES – PART 2
1 CORINTHIANS 8:10
You see, this is what can happen: Weak believers who think it is wrong to eat this food will see you eating in the temple of an idol. You know there's nothing wrong with it, but they will be encouraged to violate their conscience by eating food that has been dedicated to the idol.
1 CORINTHIANS 14:31
In this way, all who prophesy will have a turn to speak, one after the other, so that everyone will learn and be encouraged.
1 CORINTHIANS 16:13 & 18
Be on guard. Stand true to what you believe. Be courageous. Be strong. They have been a wonderful encouragement to me, as they have been to you, too. You must give proper honour to all who serve so well.
2 CORINTHIANS 1:6
So when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your benefit and salvation! For when YHVH comforts us, it is so that we, in turn, can be an encouragement to you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.
2 CORINTHIANS 2:7
Now it is time to forgive him and comfort him. Otherwise he may become so discouraged that he won't be able to recover.
2 CORINTHIANS 7:4,6,7 & 13
I have the highest confidence in you, and my pride in you is great. You have greatly encouraged me; you have made me happy despite all our troubles. But YHVH, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus. His presence was a joy, but so was the news he brought of the encouragement he received from you. When he told me how much you were looking forward to my visit, and how sorry you were about what had happened, and how loyal your love is for me, I was filled with joy! We have been encouraged by this. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was at the way you welcomed him and set his mind at ease.
2 CORINTHIANS 8:6
So, we have urged Titus, who encouraged your giving in the first place, to return to you and encourage you to complete your share in this ministry of giving.
2 CORINTHIANS 13:11
Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Rejoice. Change your ways. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the YHVH of love and peace will be with you.
GALATIANS 2:9
In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift YHVH had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co-workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.
GALATIANS 6:9
So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.

PHILIPPIANS 2:1 & 25
Is there any encouragement from belonging to Moshiach? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic? Meanwhile, I thought I should send Epaphroditus back to you. He is a true brother, a faithful worker, and a courageous soldier. And he was your messenger to help me in my need.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:11 & 14
Encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
1 TIMOTHY 6:2
If your master is a believer, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. False Teaching and True Riches teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.

HEBREWS 6:18
So YHVH has given us both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for YHVH to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold on to his promise with confidence.
HEBREWS 10:24 & 25
Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
