Proverbs 6 can be divided into calamities with four different (but related) causes:

v1-5 - Caused by words, which can be resolved by words.
V6-11 - Caused by inaction, which can be resolved by action.
V12-19 - Caused by actions stemming from bad character, and cannot be resolved except by personal transformation before acting.
v20-35 - Caused by actions stemming from lack of self control, and cannot be resolved except by self-discipline before acting.
